Differentiating the two is a great way to know what to expect once the drug is consumed moderately and once it is consumed excessively.

The Short Term Effects of XTC

•    Nausea
•    Hallucinations
•    Blurred vision
•    Muscle cramping
•    Tremors
•    Chills
•    Sweating

These are the side effects that are considered tolerable. These are frequently experienced by moderate users.

Long Term Side Effects of XTC Comedown

•    Physical Effects – XTC use can obstruct the body’s capability to control the temperature. This could result to hyperthermia, failure of cardiovascular system, liver failure, kidney failure and death.
•    Psychological Effects – depression, the craving for drugs, severe anxiety, sleep disorders and confusion. These side effects could be experienced after weeks or days of taking XTC.
•    Neurotoxicity – taking of XTC could lead to long term damage of the brain. XTC use could ruin neurons that are responsible for thinking, judgment and the mood. According to a research, after four days upon taking the drugs, the serotonin nerve terminals are damaged. The result of the damage is experienced 6 to 7 years later. However, the studies were conducted to animals. Moreover, until now there is no strong proof in humans. But, still it is concluded in the study that the drug is not safe to be used by humans.

These are the long term side effects that users might experience once the drug is used excessively. If XTC is used to relax and disregard problems, better search for other alternative ways. It may alleviate the problems you have right now but it is just temporary. Keep in mind that taking of it could lead to more serious and complicated problems in your life.
