Kanna is a succulent herb that is native to South Africa. It has been used as a mood altering herb for generations, but only now has it come to the notice of people in the rest of the world. Although the use of Kanna ecstasy is well known in traditional medicine and light therapy there are no studies that have been conducted to verify Kanna information. Most of what we know comes from traditional medicine.
Kanna Information
While this may be all very well and good, the problem with not having Kanna information is that we really do not know much about Kanna side effects. While there is some Kanna information as transferred from traditional medicine, no studies have been conducted to test its efficacy or Kanna side effects when combined with other medication.
There is very little known about Kanna MDMA as such although a little bit of information is there. For instance, it is a known fact that Kanna will meditation worsen or help depression raises the serotonin levels in the body. Considering that many natural antidepressant supplements also raise the serotonin levels in the body, the natural assumption is that Kanna MDMA can be used as a natural antidepressant.
Other Kanna Side Effects
Another of Kanna side effects is that it tends to suppress hunger. This fact has been known for centuries and goatherds used to chew on Kanna ecstasy to prevent hunger if they were ranging far from their homes. Although this fact has not been tested in the lab, and we do not even know how exactly this works it leads us to think that Kanna MDMA may prove very useful as a weight loss medication too.
The unique thing about Kanna side effects is that it is both a stimulant and a sedative. This unique combination results in Kanna helping to relax a person while at the same time keeping his mind and cognitive functions up to par.
Also there are no unpleasant Kanna side effects like dry mouths and headaches as happens sometimes with other natural antidepressant supplements. Most Kanna information taken from traditional medicine also seems to indicate that it is relatively safe.
Kanna As A Natural Antidepressant
The only problem is that preliminary studies show that Kanna is much more potent than other natural antidepressant supplements and is thought to work faster and better than the best in the market now.
Yet it is because of its potency that a number of researchers advise caution. Although not proved as of now, the fact that it gives a tremendous serotonin boost very quickly becomes doubly dangerous when clubbed with other depression medication.
While there are not much Kanna side effects that are documented, it should be borne in mind that there really isn’t much Kanna information around. Waiting for some time while more research is conducted is the best, failing which it is best if you consult with your doctor.
Although Kanna is available as a supplement over the counter now, if you are already on depression medication, discontinue it before you try Kanna. Many people do experience discontinuation syndrome, but it is dangerous to mix them both.
