Ecstacy comes in several different forms. There are the manufactured forms and there’s the pure form. But most people who have seen the drug before have only seen it in its manufactured forms – pills, tablets, or just powder. The pills look like any other pill, the tablets look like round, yet flat, pieces of candy, and the powder looks like…well…powder. But what does pure ecstacy look like? What exactly is it? This bit of ecstacy information a lot of people might not be familiar with…

Basic Ecstacy Information

Before you know what its pure form looks like, it wouldn’t hurt to know a few ecstacy facts about what it exactly is. Ecstacy, which is also known as MDMA, is a natural antidepressant (pure MDMA is, at least; most, if not all, manufactured ecstacy contains at least a few other drugs or other ingredients mixed in) that releases large amounts of serotonin in the brain. Serotonin is basically what causes a person to be happy, and so when it enters a person’s brain in much larger amounts than usual, it basically makes them a bit overjoyed.

That may sound like quite the bargain, but it has its bad points as well. In fact, you may even see the negative ecstacy facts to outweigh the positive feeling the drug gives you. Usually the morning after, though sometimes during your high, you will get an ecstacy hangover. The negative effects of an ecstacy hangover usually kick in during this, and include such feelings as depression (which makes the use of the term “natural antidepressant” a bit ironic), a risen or lowered body temperature, and increased stress. However, although you may feel pretty bad after an ecstacy trip, cases of death are pretty rare.

Crystalized Ecstacy

Pure Ecstacy/MDMA is a clear to cloudy white, crystalline substance, and is commonly referred to as “Molly.” Many times, the crystals are so small that they look like a fine powder. Other times, it can be grown about as large as a gram. The powder-like crystals have the habit of sticking to dry fingers, but don’t bind together like normal powder, or other powder-like substances. It is also water soluble, and can be mixed in a drink, if you’d like to consume it that way.

Pure Ecstacy vs. Manufactured Ecstacy

Believe it or not, there are actually quite a few differences between pure ecstacy/Molly and the manufactured kind. Some people prefer to take pure MDMA/Molly over manufactured ecstacy, because there tend to be fewer negative effects, and the user doesn’t really get an ecstacy comedown. An ecstacy comedown is basically another term for an ecstacy hangover, and results in some horrible feelings.

Perhaps the main reason for users to prefer Molly is because of such manufactured ecstacy facts such as an ecstacy comedown. And the reason why the manufactured forms of this natural antidepressant are worse is due to the fact that the manufacturers add various other drugs into the mix. There are still negative effects of pure MDMA, but ecstacy information from users themselves states that Molly isn’t near as bad.
