Endogenous depression occurs when there is some chemical balance in the brain which means that it need not be necessary to have an emotional precursor for the problem. Though, this fact cannot be stated firmly and hence is a subject of a number of researches. Endogenous depression is popular as biological depression or masked depression for example. Generally the endogenous depression is triggered when there is an imbalance in the neurotransmitters present in the brain cells. Hence a disruption in the brain chemistry can trigger this form of depression. Effects of Endogenous Depression There are a number of effects of endogenous depression in the patients who suffer from this disorder. Some of these symptoms include restlessness, insomnia or change in sleeping pattern, change in eating habits, exhaustion and low self-esteem and confidence. To be specific, the effects of endogenous depression can be divided into 4 different categories: Effect on Thoughts Generally people suffering from endogenous depression experience a number of changes in their thinking ability and process.
