XTC, also known as MDMA, X, E or ecstasy, is a natural antidepressant that has gained popularity across the world as a club drug. Due to XTC effects including euphoria, high levels of energy and feelings of compassion and oneness, the drug has really taken off in the rave and club scene. However, in remote cases, XTC information reveals that the effect of the drug can go wrong causing an overdose.
XTC Effects
One of the earliest warning signs of an XTC overdose is the individual feeling extremely uneasy and nauseous. These feelings are often coupled with the inability to perspire that may cause hyperthermia or overheating of the body. If these early signs are not spotted in time, the individual overdosing on the natural antidepressant may also go unconscious. By this stage, there is no other option but to rush the individual to the hospital.
While XTC effects and overdoses do not normally cause deaths, XTC information point to the fact that these experiences can be very distressing and may also cause permanent damage to the body. As mentioned earlier, hyperthermia is one of the most common problems with this natural antidepressant. When an individual has had an overdose, he or she faces problems urinating and sweating. This should be considered as precursor to a serious overdose. Though things seem pretty normal at this stage, once these symptoms occur, it is wise to rush to the hospital.
XTC Side Effects
Apart from hyperthermia, other subtle symptoms may also act as pointers towards XTC pills going wrong. If any of the following symptoms occur, do not take them lightly as they can lead to serious complications:
• Involuntary muscle twitching and eye movements are tell-tale signs of the beginning of an overdose.
• Again, if the individual is over-reactive and seems to have lost control over movements, its time to worry.
• Hyperactive breathing and unusually intense palpitations are again signs of something going wrong.
• Other behavioral pointers such as disorientation, anxiety, paranoia, hallucinations, depersonalization and panic attacks also mean that the individual is not reacting to the drug normally.
XTC Overdose
According to XTC information the chances of overdosing on the drug are very low. The amount of ecstasy people consume on a normal level is not enough to cause an overdose. However, when an individual is on XTC, one of the common XTC effects includes confusion and hyperactivity. Under this influence, it is quite possible that the individual loses the power to think straight and may pop a whole bunch of pills in the heat of the moment. This is one of the most common reasons of ecstasy overdoses.
Again, though ecstasy is not harmful to normal, healthy people, its effects vary on people with different health conditions and body weights. People suffering from heart diseases, blood pressure problems or diabetes are more susceptible to overdosing on ecstasy and hence should avoid the drug altogether. Again, individuals with smaller builds who are low on the body-mass index need lower doses of XTC to feel the effects. However, they see people taking more than them and come under peer pressure. This is another scenario where overdosing is highly likely.
If any of the initial signs of overdosing occur, one should waste no time and rush the individual to the hospital. You never know how important each second may prove to be.
