What To Do Before Using Kava Kava

Kava is a traditional drink that is prepared out of the roots of the Kava plant that is indegenous throughout the pacific islands. It has a unique taste, and most islanders take it as a sort of natural antidepressant that elevates their mood. The good thing about Kava is that although it functions like a natural antidepressant it does not work like alcohol which diminishes cognitive functioning. Kava kava information tells us that it  increases blood flow to the brain and the central nervous system keeping you awake and alert while at the same time relaxing you so that you can socialize better.

Kava Kava Effects

There are also no kava kava side effects that you have to worry about and also tricyclic antidepressants. Traditionally kava kava has been used by everyone as something that is ingested during social occasions to promote a happy environment. In modern times too, this is very useful in that many people tend to use kava kava ecstasy or kava kava MDMA when they party. There is no danger of you doing anything that you will regret at a later date, but you will still be fuzzy enough, and relaxed enough to enjoy yourself.

When kava kava is prepared in the traditional manner, there is generally no kava kava side effects you need to worry about at all but what are the side effects of tricyclic antidepressants. It only works like a natural antidepressant without any kava kava side effects. Only when you consume alcohol along with it does it seem to cause any cirrhosis of the liver, but then just plain alcohol too will do that.

Kava Kava Supplement Info

Yet in Europe there have been a number of cases where people who have taken kava kava regularly have ended up with liver problems. Unfortunately due to the incomplete nature of most kava kava information it is really not known if it is the kava kava that is causing this problem, or if it is a combination of kava kava with other drugs that is doing this.
It is however good to keep this fact in mind. Some researchers are of the opinion that when kava kava is prepared in the traditional manner when it is to be used like a kava kava ecstasy or a kava kava MDMA, only the root is used. It is not brewed, but is powdered and then soaked in water or milk and then drunk.

The leaves and stems are not used at all and are discarded. Many supplement manufacturers though do use the leaves and the stems too for the kavalactones that they contain. Unfortunately the leaves also contain other chemicals that may cause liver damage, although they are not present in the quantities that will do so.

Not much research has gone into kava, and its reactions with other standard medication is really not known. In most cases occasional consumption does not cause any kava kava side effects and for those who take the kava kava ecstasy there is generally nothing to worry. Only in case they start taking it like a supplement or get addicted to the kava kava MDMA is it a cause for worry.

It is therefore a good idea to check with your doctor before you start as there is not much kava kava information that you can rely on too. In the pacific islands they have the advantage of elders who know how it is to be taken, and how it is not. This knowledge unfortunately does not accompany the product when it is sold as a supplement, so it is our duty to be on our guard.
